In Case You Haven't Seen It Yet ... Book Blogger Appreciation Week

In case you haven't heard about it yet, I wanted to give you information on Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW), which was the brainchild of My Friend Amy. The first BBAW was last year -- and more than 400 blogs came together to celebrate the art of book blogging. I wasn't blogging at that time, but I've heard how fun the BBAW was and I look forward to participating this year and meeting other book bloggers. Here are some of the details and links to the appropriate pages.

• Date: The second annual BBAW will be taking place September 14-18.

• Registering: Anyone who blogs about books and reading is invited to participate. You can register for the event here. (Registering will automatically enter you in the drawing for the BBAW Grand Prize.)

• What BBAW Is About: BBAW will include special guest posts, daily blogging themes, and giveaways and is focused on celebrating the contributions of book bloggers.

• BBAW Awards: You can also nominate your favorite book blogs for the BBAW awards -- there are plenty of award categories so I'm sure you can a spot for all your favorite book blogs. To nominate a book blog, go to the nomination form here. (You don't need to have a book blog to nominate blogs for the award.) I'll be working on my nominations over the weekend!

• Giveaways: if you would like to sponsor a giveaway during the event, you can sign up for that here.

• Promoting BBAW: You can download the BBAW buttons to help promote this event.
