7:51 p.m.—Dewey's 24-Hour Read-A-Thon!
I'm still here. Still reading. Took a short break to go out to dinner with Mr. Jenners and the Little One. It was the first time I left the house all day! I must say, I've never read for this many hours in a row.
Since my last update, I read four essays in my State by State book (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Oregon and Montana), and I have to tell you, this book is shaping up to a be a 5 star read! Totally interesting, and so far I've found all the essays to be completely readable, completely different and completely interesting. (Can you tell my writing is starting to go downhill? I just realized I used the word "completely" at least 3 times in a row.)
After dinner, I felt like I wanted to "guarantee" finishing another book so I tackled Esquire Presents: What It Feels Like. This book is a collection of different people sharing their stories about different experiences, such as what it feels like to be hit by lightning, have anorexia, win the lottery, walk on the moon, survive an avalanche, and so forth. Very easy, very interesting read. I was completely fascinated by all the stories (I just love stuff like this). My immediately top of mind ranking: 4 stars!
I'm going to try and push through and finish one more book, Candy Girl: A Year In the Life of An Unlikely Stripper by Diablo Cody.
My brain is starting to feel a little fatigued, as are my eyes. But if I finish Candy Girl, then I will accomplish all the reading I set out for myself today. BY GOLLY, I CAN DO IT AND I WILL DO IT!
I'm giving up on trying any more mini-challenges as my brain is a bit fried.
Thanks again for your continued support and comments. I feel that Mr. Jenners is mocking me, but your support is sincere and helpful! : )
See you for the last update in a few hours. I see the finish line in sight!

Hey - you have done a fantastic job! Good for you. You might be a little fried right now but tomorrow (or Monday) you will be back to normal.
Yes, you CAN do it.
Add to Jill's comment: BY GOLLY! (do you notice by the way that I tend to follow Jill around on commenting?)
Good luck finishing another book!
